About

The Do-Over is a collection of thoughtful stories and discussions of leadership, ethics, and law, by and for the Naval Warrior.

The stories will tell of decisions made in the moment that upon reflection, should have gone another way. The guests will relate how they would have done things differently if they were granted a "do-over". Guests include senior US Navy and Marine Corps officers who draw on their experience when discussing topics that are relevant to ethical, philosophical, and legal dilemmas that they have faced in the course of their careers. Midshipmen, as well as Junior Officers, are particularly encouraged to listen.

The Do-Over is hosted by Michael Sears, a 1978 USNA graduate. Michael spent 5 years in the Marine Corps, then earned a JD/MBA from Stanford University, and went on to a successful career in several prominent Silicon Valley companies. He is currently Director of the Boeing Innovation Leadership Laboratory at the Stockdale Center for Ethical Leadership at the Naval Academy.
